After working together for 20 years within the healthcare market, our founding members realized there had to be a better way. In 2018 they wanted to transform the way technology was purchased, utilized, and supported within senior housing. Their inspiration came from the simple word “Eldre” (Norwegian for Elderly). In addition to being the Norwegian spelling for Elderly, the word Eldre reflects the Midwest’s Scandinavian roots and their forward-thinking approach to Healthcare and the use of technology.
On a local level, the name Eldre was influenced by Minnesota’s first Assisted Living community, Elder Homestead. This market disrupting concept was conceived and designed by a local architect, Arvid Elness, who had traveled to Norway and had visited similar communities in the early 1980’s. His vision was simple. He wanted to enhance the lives of seniors.
We exist to transform how technology enhances people’s lives. In listening to our clients, we learned what they want are systems which are customized for them, that are simple to operate, and support their need for a safe and secure environment. As we move forward our experience within the healthcare market has given us an opportunity to expand our expertise into other market spaces including hospitality, commercial, education, safety and security.
